New Hampshire Guitar Lessons

  • Looking to learn guitar for the first time?

  • Looking to take your skills to the next level?

  • Just want to strum chords or learn a specific song?

However ambitious or modest your musical goal is, Travis can help you achieve it.

Learning The Guitar

Guitar is the most popular instrument of the past century. Modern music is filled with sounds of the guitar. Almost every genre of music features guitar. Rock, Folk, Jazz, Blues and Metal are just a few styles that come to mind. Listening to music and being inspired to learn is first step on the life long journey. So, kudos!

It’s important to know that Guitar is a difficult instrument to PROPERLY learn at first. It is not a linear instrument such as the piano – the notes are harder to “see”. There is also the physical challenge of playing the guitar. Beginners are often discouraged when they can’t get their fingers to do what they want. These are just a few of the problems beginners will face. After mastering the physical challenges, there are still numerous musical challenges such as good rhythm, knowing songs, playing melodies and more. As you can see, to become a great guitar player will require immense study and practice.

I cannot say enough great things about Travis Shelby! I would have given him 10 stars if there were enough stars here to fill in. I started my journey of the guitar at age 53 (never too old), and at that time Travis was recommended to me. Needless say I am still taking lessons from him and I trust this will keep happening for many more years to come
